Growing like weeds

Off we went to the clinic today. They are both doing so well and have both gained 300g since last Wednesday. We are very proud of them! They have also both gained over 2 cm in length in the last 2 weeks with Emma a little over 51cm and Daniel at almost 54cm.

Emma's light has finally gone on, and she is starting to 'talk' to us with cute little sounds as well as copious quantities of smiles. She is also finding a bit more interest in toys and mobiles suddenly, as last week she didn't find them at all riveting!

At 8 weeks they are going through a brain growth spurt, so are both a bit niggly, but it is normal (just a bit exhausting for Mum and Dad!). I can't quite believe that they are 2 months old tomorrow.

Other than that, life ticks by - still in a blur of nappies and bottles. Daniel especially is eating us out of house and home and each day has one bottle more than Emma. He also has a good 200ml more than he should for his weight, so I think he will start to fill out quite nicely now.

On Saturday we will be going to a Multiple Births Association Year End Function, so will meet loads of parents who also have twins (and other multiples). Should be fun.
