Diet for Daniel!

Our babies are so good! Caroline and I took them in to my work yesterday morning to meet some of my colleagues, and even though we were there for ages, they were both very well behaved. They each had a bottle and a sleep while we were out, and didn't grumble or cry at all. On the way back from the office we took them to be weighed. Emma has put on 275g and now weighs 4,5kg. Daniel has put on 475g and now weighs 5,6kg! So as a result of that (and the fact that he is over 5,5kg) the sister has said that we must restrict him to 5 bottles a day, and very soon need to reduce it to 4 to cut out the 10pm and 2am feeds. He has not woken up for the last 2 nights at 10pm, so we are already half way there. She says that we are feeding him too much, and although it isn't a problem now, it could become one later on. Emma is also not waking at 10pm, but is allowed to carry on drinking as much as she wants as she is still too little to restrict the quantity.

They both also had their jabs, which didn't go down well, but they were a lot better than with the ones they had in December. I also don't need to go every week now, so will only be taking them every fortnight to be checked.

Emma's hand eye co-ordination is excellent, and she accurately reaches out and touches things now. Daniel is not as good with his co-ords yet, but he is putting everything he can into his mouth, and is also starting to say different syllables, not just the vowel sounds. Very exciting!

Hi FEDS
Back at work now (thumbs down to that idea )so we are back on the blog.
Sorry to hear that the bouncer will be on his 1st diet but instead of worrying about his next feed he can now concentrate on his co-ordination skills so he can catch up to the little angel
Looking forward to seeing you all & Caro in early Feb.Please don't be late as pops & grandpops will (hopefully )be going to rugby !!!
Love you all
Barry
