I took the babes to be weighed today and their clinic sister is happy with their progress. Emma is a full 6kg now and Daniel is 7,65kg. Both put on a decent amount of weight which is super. No length measurements today - we will do that at their 6 month assessment in 2 weeks time.
When I was in hospital, w ewere given a voucher to have a photo taken of the family at a nearby studio. It has to be redeemed by their 6 month birthday, so we are going this weekend to have a family portrait done!
Emma is becoming a bit more independant which makes our lives a lot easier. She lay between Steve's shoes for ages this evening playing with a piece of newspaper and giggling about something! Daniel's hair is finally growing back but is till very short and blonde.
They love their food, and are currently having plums and apple for breakfast and baby marrow and apple for lunch. I have also mushed up some mielies so will try that out on them this weekend.

Getting so big so quickly...my mom made me hold a 7kg bag of potatoes a week ago and said thats how it would feel to hold Daniel..it was really heavy!!! I know why Emma was giggling happily - she was between Steve's shoes and probably high as a kite, you'd also giggle about nothing after sniffing shoe..hee hee hee...great to hear everyone is settling in new jobs and schedules - hope Caroline & Fiona are happy in new positions...love you all, lols

When you have been for your portrait session remember 2 things:
1.you need to blog it & 2.there are 3 grannies who will be in line for copies----just make sure you take Emma only----leave "emergency" at home!!!

Very happy to hear the little tots are enjoying their food. It must be so cute to see their expressions when they are exposed to new tastes. It's the end of the weekend so I also hope your photo session went well...looking forward to seeing the photos when you get them.
