What do you think when you arrive home to hear really strange baby screaming coming from the bathroom. Someone is drowning or has fallen and cannot scream as before? No - it was actually our friend from down the road, Sharon, bathing her baby. Now what do I think? Has she moved in - another child and a second wife? No, wrong. Sharon was visiting us and had stayed late as her husband was working late. She took advantage of the gap and bathed her baby, Andrew, while waiting (much to my relief of course).
We then had a pizza evening with a nice KWV Merlot (won by Fiona at our last outing). Some good conversation and of course, lots of baby conversation.
Emma is just polishing off her food - all her porridge and milk every night. That is why we are just monitoring her cough as she seems really fine. She slept through last night (second time for me, Fiona has not encountered such a privilege on her night to feed so I'm very lucky - and rested).
The Norose saga has now been corrected. She has found another bus on another route and got here at 07:30. Thank goodness.
The gate motor saga concludes tomorrow when they install a new motor courtesy of Outsurance. Got to pay an excess but it is a new motor which costs 4x our excess. Am also getting an anti-theft bracket installed and we are putting in one of our remote screeching alarms (if you move the alarm away from its key then it screeches forever more). Oh life in JHB ...
Isn't it exciting - two sleeps and we have a Super 14 champion SA team. Go Sharks although I hear the Bulls are favourites.
Fiona goes on a Secretary's Convention at Sun City from Sunday to Tuesday. Going to be quite interesting to deal with the two babies by myself but we have had plenty of practice so I'm not too worried. It is nice for her to get away as I've had many trips away and she has always been alone. Her friend Dianne from SASOL is going too, so I hope they have lots of fun.
Enjoy the weekend!
