Missing Text

Boy was I frustrated last night after writing the weekend's news only to have lost it all when I tried to post the entry.

The weekend started off with us going to buy Emma a big car seat as it was long overdue. We were originally going to get her the same as Daniel's but after a few months of experiencing the badly designed harness clip, we decided to go for a different brand altogether. Her seat is red and black and she spent ages stroking the fabric on the way home. While we were at the baby shop, I spent most of the money that Sasol Nitro raised for the triplets in Pretoria. We came home with that car of mine completely packed to the top with nappies and formula! I was delighted at how far that money went, and I managed to put a super huge parcel of stuff together for them. Hopefully I will receive the pictures of the hand over soon from the social worker who is helping them out.

We had a relatively quiet weekend, with Caro and Garth coming over for a short while on Sunday. It was great to see them again after a very long time as Caro has been working most of the time. We also got a few of those 'odd jobs' done around the house, which is always satisfying!

Daniel is still climbing everything in site, and his latest is to climb onto the coffee table in our lounge. He has been waking us up for the last couple of nights so we think that finally the teeth are on their way??? Emma is walking all over the place, and is still quite clingy.

Tomorrow I will take them for the last clinic weigh-in of the year, so will report back on progress!

The photos from yesterday depict two very happy little people as they were able to go into the sandpit for the first time in over a week (the constant rain having kept them out). We only opened it to try and dry the sand, as although it has a lid the sand got soaked through. I thought it was just marginally wet, but only after they were in the pit did I realise that it resembled more closely a mud wrestler's pit than a children's sand pit! It was so squelchy, but they loved it! We are unfortunately going to have to turf it all out and start again, as it is just not going to dry out quickly enough!

The pics from monday tell the whole story ---the more mud on the dial the bigger the smile. You 2 must have had fun cleaning the twins.
I am really looking forward to our office closure on 21 Dec as 2007 has been very eventful & busy.
We are hoping to have the storm blinds installed on the south (weatherside )end of our deck within the next week then we can live outside
Nearly time to count sleeps before we host FEDS in Durbs.
Love you 4
