Daniel = NO!

We had Granpa and Granma Fuller for the weekend (on their way back from a break at Sun City). What made it special was the fact that we watched the Sharks win the Currie Cup for the first time in 12 years. The Fullers had tickets to the game and instead chose to spend it with us - special!
On Sunday, we had breakfast at Lifestyle. Nice to get out and to see the children marvelling at the children's fairground (they're still too young for the children's rides).

Daniel has hit another serious teething streak, combined with a strong focus on NO! In fact his first word in the morning is usually No!

So getting him up in the morning and getting him dressed is full of "no!" plus a massive performance.
And then he has taken to waking up in the middle of the night and demanding to sleep with Mommy and Daddy. This of course wakes up Emma who climbs on the bandwagen - or is that into the bed? Anyhow on Tuesday night, we decided to break the habit. I think we woke up the neighbourhood when we denied them access to our bed as they were not sick and in fact there was nothing wrong. And so they screamed blue-murder while one of us sat there and watched them (great stuff in the middle of the night).
Interestingly Daniel fell asleep first with Emma following (he woke her up).

Tonight Daniel just point blank refused to go to bed and kicked up a massive tantrum everytime we tried to get him into the cot. Not so easy as he is getting big and strong. anyhow, after lots of soothing, we got him to fall asleep (alas still crying). This time, Emma slept through it all.

There has been another lice breakout at school - not our children, but now we are having to take preventitive measures to ensure they don't get them. So it is shampooing of their hair every morning - great fun!

Well we are back to the Joburg of old - the recent rains have knocked out the robots on key intersections which has meant big traffic jams. Not fun.

Now we're looking forward to the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend - I'd love Massa to win but that is unlikely.
