On Saturday morning I went to the airport to collect a good friend of mine and his wife who were spending Saturday night with us, before going to his folks on Sunday. It was great to meet Aggie, and also super to see Edward again (it has been a good 8 years)! Both Emma and Daniel took a shine to them, which was great, and Emma in particular attached herself to Edward, which is against her present clingy phase!
The good weather sadly didn't stay and rain had settled in on Sunday. Yesterday was a public holiday so Steve was at home, which was great. Daniel seems to have taught himself to go down things backwards (we gave up trying once he started going down steps forwards), and climbed onto and then off the coffee table successfully. His teeth are just sitting right under the gum, and his top ones in particular are very visible. His drooling has increased dramatically, so this is exciting stuff!
Emma progresses with her walking daily, and had great fun pushing her little toddle truck around, with first Daniel and then a pile of books in it to weigh it down. This evening she walked from the sun room windows all the way to me sitting at the other end of the lounge (at least 9 metres)!
They had a tough day from a routine point of view, as I took them briefly to work to meet the girls and then popped into Cresta to start the Christmas shopping. It meant that they really only slept once we were home, which was a good 90 minutes after their scheduled sleep. That of course threw their afternoon nap out, so they had a shortish one, but quite late in the afternoon. Emma became increasingly cranky as the evening progressed, but of course developed a second wind shortly before we put them to bed.
Tomorrow we will keep the day simple, with our outing to fetch Caro in the afternoon the only disturbance, which will be fine. Caro and Garth come around tomorrow night for an early Christmas, which will be fun and on Friday we have dinner with Steve's Mum and sister to celebrate with them.
Emma, Steve, Fiona, Aggie, Daniel and Edward
A very relaxed passenger

Hi FEDS
Thanks for news & pics----wow Emma, you will probably be walking a whole lot further than 9 meters when we see you after just......(wait for it )4 SLEEPS !! Now that sounds great as we are really looking forward to having FEDS in town.
A thought for Daniel----don't rush to walk cause you can get pushed everywhere by your sister.
Luv ya all
Barry
