Today Emma and Daniel attended creche for the first time. It went very well. Both didn't cry when we left to go to work which was a big relief as they are quite good at "meltdowns." Daniel handled the day in his normal quiet way, playing by himself and with another baby called leanne. Emma had the odd tearful episode but nothing too serious. So overall they both did very well.
Melanie, the owner, says that if they handle day one, they experience meltdown a few days later, so we'll see.
When we got home, the day proved to be too much with Emma falling asleep in Fiona's arms at 7 and Daniel going off quietly at 8:30. The early morning wake-ups are pushing their bedtime backwards - not a bad thing!
Yesterday at Granny Jo's went really well with no real problems - much to our relief as Saturday night was the opposite.
And then last night, both were very restless with Daniel eventually ending up in our bed as we were exhausted. A very unsettling week for them both - as I told Fiona: their most stressful week ever.
Otherwise Emma is a collecting phase - she collects things in a shopping bag which gets dragged all over the place. I found my house keys in the bag tonight and my office keys were dropped through the front door security gate last night.
We did take-aways tonight and now it is an early bedtime as we are exhausted.

Hi FEDS
Starting creche mid week & then being back with you two after 3 days for a weekend will probably be good for Emma & Daniel---it will be interesting to see how they get through their first full week commencing 14th.
How many children attend the creche & are they all similar ages ?
Must go---Luvs
Barry
