Yip it is two posts short of 200!
FEDSland is pretty quiet. With the beautiful hot weather, we are spending the evenings out in the garden which is really special after all the rain we have been having. On Sunday night we had a braai to burn up some of the branches that have had to be cut down during the summer. A nice evening - the perfect end to a weekend.
Over the weekend, we hit our favourite discount fruit store and bought a mountain of fruit - pears, nectarines, apples, bananas, prickly pears and grapes. So it has been a giant fruit fest ever since then.
Daniel's face repaired itself very quickly. By about Wednesday, the scabs had fallen off and everything looked nice and new. Just a slight discolouration is now visible. Vaseline helped to keep everything moist.
Daniel has another four teeth about to arrive - two on his bottom jaw and one on each side of his current two. He takes about three steps regularly before collapsing onto his bottom.
Tonight he is looking a little sick again - round two of the flu coming. I've been sick since Sunday (for the second time).
Emma has started running instead of walking which makes monitoring her a little more interesting as she moves so fast. There is still no sign of any teeth.
We are getting up a great deal every night - three to four times. Luckily it usually amounts to moving a baby (still sleeping but screanming) out of the corner that they have wedged themselves in - so the sleep deprivation is not too bad. Daniel has wanted comforting a few times and that generally eats into our sleep as it takes a bit longer to settle him down. It is now not unusual to have one of them in the bed by morning.
Ah, there has been a big event: the completion of our gate to the pool area. It just needs a staple to hold it closed and it will be done. It took a long time with the rain and flu but in the end has turned out quite well. Fiona reckons it will keep out a rhino - which it will - that is where I learnt to build gates!
Otherwise life is quiet. Cruising to the weekend.

Hi FEDS
Thanks for the update. It is strange how the twins have developed differently---Emma running but toothless & Daniel toothed but not walking !!!
Was the Rhino fencing a home maintenance job or outsourced---a pic is expected .
Caitlin starts her job on 25 Feb so she is getting excited---and will enjoy the loot I am sure.
Our builders have moved on site & have a meeting with the surveyor today then will peg out the houses to commence foundation digging so at long last we have progress. The only worry is the high interest rate & depressed housing market so hows that for perfect timing !!!!
Been very busy at work lately due to tax deadlines looming .
Gotta go---love you tons
Barry
