Steve and I had a lovely evening on Thursday. Mum and John offered to look after the two of them while we went out for a very belated 1 year anniversary dinner. It was my treat as Steve took me out on Valentine's, so we went to our favourite Thai restaurant in Sandton, and had a delicious meal. We were exhausted, but did manage to converse (albeit about our children!).
Daniel is still doing his 2 hour feeding stints at night, which is tiring for us all, but at least it means he is eating well. Emma is still doing a lot better now that she is on Gaviscon, and is keeping her food down nicely.
It is interesting to watch their development, as it seems as if Daniel is about 1 week ahead at the moment - perhaps the difference in when they came home? The first 10 days that he was home, he startled easily and panicked when his food didn't arrive immediately. He has calmed down and almost seems to know what to expect from the routine of feeding. Emma is at that panicky stage, and a nappy change and a bottle can't be done quickly enough for her, and she screams blue murder! Hopefully she also calms down soon. He is also more alert at feeding time, and has started looking around intently, while Emma still usually drinks with her eyes closed.
Sorry about the lack of posts and photos - we have been trying to scan in the photo from The Star newspaper, but the newsprint doesn't scan very well. We will ask Granny Leona (who is here this weekend from Durban) to take some photos later.
