Today was a miserable day for our babies. It was almost as if they could sense something was up, as they niggled all day! I was not feeling too up to it either, as Emma woke me up 3:30 and almost 20 hours later I have still not been back to sleep.
This afternoon I took them to be weighed, measured and injected. Good news first is that Daniel put on 200g since last week Wesdnesday and Emma a whopping 250g! I am delighted. The guideline is 150 - 200g a week, so they have both done very well. Daniel now weighs 3kg and Emma 2,75kg. They have both also grown so much in length with each having added about 8cm to their stature. Daniel is a little over 51cm and Emma is at 47cm.
The injections went as well as can be expected when one is being stabbed with a needle! Naturally both of them put on quite a vocal performance and have been upset all evening, but seem to be calmer now. They both have a hole in each of their thighs. But as Steve says: 'short-term pain for long-term gain'. I don't get as upset as I thought I would to see them being pricked, but their tears and inconsolable crying is terribly upsetting. The first time they were injected at a little under 2 weeks they weren't producing tears, but it is far more heart breaking to see round fat crocodile tears rolling down their cheeks. My poor little angels.

I always get impressed when i see a man multi-tasking.
It's really weird hearing that, "Aunty Erin"...I'm so excited to see you guys, to meet those little people.
Don't forget your baby monitors!
See you all tomorrow.
Love you all.
