No party for FEDS

What a disaster! We didn't get to Durban for Erin's party. On Friday afternoon we were all packed and ready to go and headed off down the highway. All of a suden Steve's car told him to stop immediately as there was no oil. He decided to ignore it, but it carried on telling him every few minutes.

We took the next offramp off the highway and pulled into a garage where we discovered all the oil had been spewing out all over the engine. This is the second time in the last few months this has happened. Something (either a valve or pipe) had popped, and no amount of topping up with oil makes any difference because as fast as we fill it, it shoots it all over the inside of the bonnet.

We cancelled our flights, and luckily were able to convert our tickets to vouchers to be used another time. Steve called a tow truck and we waited for it to arrive. Our little guys were very good, and only really started moaning for food shortly before our lift arrived, so both ate well when we got home.

From all accounts it sounds as if the party was a resounding success which is great. Everyone looked marvelous. This is a photo of Barry (Phantom), Erin (Cleopatra), Caitlin (Dorothy), Leona (Mother Hubbard) and Lauren (an angel). We were so frustrated and disappointed that we weren't there.

Emma and Daniel have both been very niggly this past weekend and I am typing this after a mere 2 hours sleep last night. Lets hope they are kind to me today and give me some gaps to sleep...

It was fun, but we all missed you guys so much. I was pretty much on top of things all night, dancing with the girls and munching on the load of food I over catered for! We carried on until about 2:30! Plenty of left overs for the next few days!
We are all hoping you can make it down in the next few weeks (pray for leave steve)
See you soon mwa, love to all!

Missing FEDS
It was a sad day at U/Rocks on Friday evening when we realized we would not see you all.Leona grafted really hard for Erin's bash which was a fab do but the cleaning up the next day is always a pain in the arissss.
Lauren has been a absolute star with helping me to cart boxes/etc to the rented house & Leona is stressing a bit about how much still needs to be packed.
Definately not looking forward to the next week of back breaking moving
Our temp holiday accom will be ready anytime in Dec & Jan so get your leave form in Steve & get your precious family to Durbs or else !!!!
