Wednesday Relief

Here is a picture of FEDS for the first time. Taken by Lesley just before they left. thank you!

It has been quiet on our blog for a reason. Trying to look after the twins by ourselves has been exhausting to say the least. It takes so long to get them down and sleeping after a feed that it is often time to feed the other one - very little time to sleep in-between. We are also trying to get them into a routine but this is difficult with such small babies who experience growth spurts regularly.

After quite a bit of phoning and asking around, we finally located a night nurse who started tonight and will work Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights - just enough time for us to catch up on sleep. What a relief as we were beginning to wonder about things - three hours of sleep a night is very hard night after night.
They went in for their weekly weigh-in today - not as good as we would have liked but nothing to worry about. Our first really hot spell of the summer, Diwali crackers plus the extremely long feeds/niggles have contributed to it.
Otherwise the babies are fine, and the parents are off to sleep ...

zzzz....zzzz....wake up now, and teach those babies about party manners, cos Cleopatra doesn't like party poopers...lol, excuse the pun.
I really hope they settle into a routine, I'm dying to see you all, as we have repetitively mentioned!

love to you all...

*hint* you may dress as a real person or a famouse cartoon character...just to make things easier for you.

Finally...I have managed to get onto the blog! It was lovely to hear all your news via Barry last night and it must be such a relief to have your night nurse to help out now. Hopefully see you in a couple of weeks...can't wait to cuddle those little babes again. Love you all lots
