The End of Summer

Our 100th post on the blog occurs at the same time as the beginning of winter. The winds of the first real cold front have arrived. Fiona has gone to Sun City until Tuesday - tonight they are having a beach party at the Valley of the Waves. I think they may need to change venues as the icy winds hit.

The posting also marks the first South African Super 14 Champions. what a game. We were rooting for the Sharks and like them thought it was wrapped up until Habana scored that fantastic try. A great game. Now for the International season ...

Saturday night was delightfully quiet (my second duty night in a row that was quiet). Daniel kept Fiona (her second duty night in a riow that has been chaotic) up most of last night as he had a mild temperature and his nose blocked up to the extent that he was battling to breathe. He soon joined us in bed and things quietened down. His problem is that he dislikes sleeping on his side and so the snot builds up very quickly. Today he is much better.
Emma decided that she needed company at about 5am and so I soon brought her to bed - the whole family slept in our big double bed.

Emma has become quite mobile. She can turn 360 debgees quite quickly and is currently learning to shift her weight from left to right and visa versa in order to move forward. When that happens, things will get interesting. Today she was already hitting corners of furniture and desk handles. She also grabs anything (i.e. everything) of interest. Quite chaotic when it is a bowl of sticky porridge.

Anyhow, they are both in bed, and asleep. Supper time and bottle washing and preparation time.

And a very cold few days ahead ...
