Nine degrees in Johannesburg is very cold. Tonight it is going to be -1. The Royal show must be on in Pietermaritzburg.
Feds (minus F) are doing ok. Norose arrived on time this morning so it was a smooth change over. Last night they took turns at crying for about an hour at midnight but then went to sleep until 4 am when Emmas decided she was hungry. She drank her bottle very quickly and then fell asleep without any prompting. A nice thing when it is cold!
The heater is on and they are behaving really nicely - entertaining themselves while I got everything organised.
Emma has developed a wicked "clearing swipe" in which she "slaps" everything out of her way. Quite interesting when you've got a bowl of porridge.
Oops Daniel has backed into a table leg and is now immobile and frustrasted. Time to rescue and take the opportunity to finish his bottle - they are taking their time tonight.
Tonight will be the coldest night of their lives. We are totally prepared!
