Time for sitting and crawling

This evening after having been dosed thoroughly, the babies are feeling so much better. They were full of beans and giggles, which was very cute, and went to bed without a fuss at all. Last night was my night on duty, adn they were back to normal, with Daniel sleeping through and Emma waking once.

Last night Daniel started balancing on his hands and knees for the first time, and was rocking backwards and forwards (a la chameleon). He spent ages practicing his new found trick, and this evening repeated the entire performance again! It doesn't appear as if it will be long now til he is crawling. Emma also had a balancing breakthrough this evening, and spent quite a while sitting very nicely. Everytime I took a picture she flung her arms out to the sides as if to say "Ta da - I can do it!" Caro came for supper, and was very excited to see their new tricks!

Tomorrow Mum and John go for a short stay in a bush lodge near Bela Bela (warmbaths) and will be back on Thursday. Note from Mum to Kathy: They saw Wynand today.

In the first photo below, Emma and Daniel were facing each other on their hands, and were chatting away to each other. Emma swung around at the last minute when she saw me with the camera.

For those coming for the Christening, it appears to be getting warmer in the next few days, but we have been told that we should expect another cold front to hit on Saturday, so please come prepared for cool weather!

On my car front: I am getting rather frustrated, as I am waiting for a bank to come back with a financing option for me. Finance has been approved through 3 other institutions, but at ridiculous interest rates, so I am trying one more avenue. Hopefully though, all that will be finalised tomorrow. The car is ready and waiting for me, and all I want now is to take ownership of it!

Tomorrow after work I am taking the babies for their 8 month weigh-in, so will post an update of their progress tomorrow night.
