Winter stopped at 10 am, and so we enjoyed a day in the sun

On Thursday night, after quite a bit of practicing and lots of tears, Emma crawled forwards. It is wonderful to watch as she has to think about each movement - rather like a chameleon. She lifts up one arm and then sticks out the opposite side leg before putting both on the ground. She then does the same with the other arm and leg. Very slow and very carefully thought out. One can understand how important crawling is in brain development as it takes lots of logic and thought. Daniel is still remembering not to rock when he sits - crawling is a distant dream for him.

Today we hit Baby City and bought two high chairs for the twins to eat at the table with us. We also bought Daniel a very nice car seat as he is getting too big for his snug and safe. Nice to have him facing forwards as we can now see him in the back seat. We'll buy Emma's chair when she reaches the right weight - still a bit of time before that happens.

The weather is really nice at the moment. We spent the whole of Saturday relaxing in our back garden. The sun is actually quite hot (about 20 degrees). A cold front is hitting us tonight so it will be 12 degrees for a day or two.

We're busy watching the Concert for Diana and then it is off to bed. The twins went to sleep earlier than usual which gives us a nice break.

I start my new job tomorrow - same job as before, different employer. Quite looking forward to it.
