Daniel woke this morning covered in a rash, and his wheezing has got worse. The Doctor determined that it is an allergic reaction brought on by the cold (as we have given him nothing new in the last few days that could have caused the rash). Of greater concern is the wheezing which is an infection of the bronchioles (Bronchiolitis) which is little more difficult to cure. So we have lots of medicines. He is tired but otherwise does not seem to stressed by the whole affair. If he gets worse we will need to admit him to hospital as oxygen clears the bronchioles.
Great thing is that both slept all night last night. A relief to be honest as we were very tired. We have both caught their (the twins) colds and so we are all feeling a little sorry for ourselves.
Emma continued with the sleeping, going down straight after breakfast and only waking at lunchtime. Daniel also went to sleep after his evening porridge, not even taking his evening bottle. So they are both a little worse for wear - sleep will help cure it!
One interesting thing we have noticed is that Daniel will stop everything that he is doing, including a full blooded cry, if he hears the theme tune of Isidingo! This evening he was whimpering and performing until the theme tune came on. He then proceeded to stare at the TV with a grin on his face. Within seconds of the tune ending, it was back to whimpering. He occasionally does the same for music in adverts. He obviously loves music.
Emma is practicing getting her knee up so that she can climb the stairs out of the lounge into the study and dining room. She is a little small to master the climb but has enough determination to get up in the next few weeks.
Our evenings with them are really enjoyable as we watch the personalities develop. Just when they are sick ...

Hey FEDS
You guys are really having such a hard time with winter sickness + lack of sleep. It is a pity that we are so far away as we could have been there for you .Whatever you do ,please take care of yourselves as you could quite easily neglect yourselves when you are focused on the twins.
Please say hi to Caro---hope her job is still going well.
