Today the twins had their monthly check-up. Great news after last months lack of progress due to the flu.
Emma has gained 350 grams (8 kg). Her length has not increased by more than a few mm. She is nicely in the middle of the parameters for her age.
Daniel has put on 550 grams (9,85 kg) and has added 70mm to his length.
Fiona is now part of the committee running SAMBA - the SA Multiple Births Association. She'll be running the Samaritan project which collects clothes etc. for poor people who have twins. Got three massive containers of baby clothes today. We identify very strongly with the Samaritans Project as we find it hard to understand how poor people cope with twins. How single mothers cope is also something that I certainly cannot fathom. There can only be extreme suffering as it is so expensive and so physically draining. Anyhow, we have lots of ideas so lets see what happens. I hope that we can make a significant difference.
Otherwise Daniel kept us awake last night - eventually joining us in bed after an early morning bottle. We think that he is either about to come down with the flu or that he is finally beginning to teeth. Lets hope they sleep tonight.
Good night!
