Today Emma and Daniel had their monthly weigh-in. Not great news as Daniel's weight has decreased by 300 g to 9600g and his length is 73.6cm (an increase of 0.8cm). Emma's has increased by 50g to 7650g and her length is 71cm (an increase of 2.2cm). Interesting to note they differ in length by only 2cm - Emma seems a lot smaller but actually is not.
The nurse is not too concerned as they are eating everything we give them. Daniel would also have exceeded the upper limit for his age if he had continued putting on weight as he has been. Emma is still nicely in-between the range for her age.
We attribute the weight issues to their being sick and they are also suddenly far more active than they have been. Another problem is that Norose gives them their afternoon bottle when she should not be doing so - it stops the complaining. So we are now going to reduce the amount of the afternoon feed and increase the amount of food they eat, even throwing in a tasty snack in the afternoon. The learning curve for them is to learn that food will make you as full as a nice bottle of milk.
Otherwise they are both in brilliant moods and are sleeping through the night. Norose is now also doing a few activities with them everyday to cater for their developmental needs.
Bedtime - this sleep thing is quite nice - been missing it.
