What a weekend we have had. Daniel decided that the best activity is rolling an old formula tin all over our lounge floor. He would watch it until it stopped rolling and then would go and retrieve it and start all over again. It kept him entertained for hours! Quite often the tin would roll under the TV cabinet, so he would leopard crawl after it,push it behind him, and then emerge again, looking victorius!
He has taken quite a shine to a cushion that Granny Lesley made for him and so now whenever he naps, he drapes himself on top of the pillow which looks very luxurious.
Emma has achieved a BEEEEG milestone this weekend - she walked, unaided for the first time last night! She did it again a couple of times tonight, so now the fun really starts. Sorry, no pictures of that yet, as it has always only been about 6 steps and then down she goes! Will try and capture the moment soon.
They both still love their music, and can clap when a suggestion is made to do so. They have started pointing at things, especially Daniel, who seems to know what our ceiling fan is, and points to it when asked where is the fan.
Daniel had an unfortunate experience tonight. I was busy dishing up supper, when he came into the kitchen. I didn't see that he put his hand on the seal between the oven and the door, and as our oven doesn't seal so well, he burnt his little fingers. He had a really good cry, but luckily just last week I had bought some burnshield, so was able to apply that. It seemed to make a big difference as after about 10 minutes of moaning and groaning (understandably), he went about his usual evening playing. He does, sadly have a huge blister on one of his fingers, but it doesn't seem to be hindering him, and he went to sleep with only the smallest amount of fuss tonight.
They are going to spend some time with Sharon, Tim and Andrew on Friday evening while we are out for a couple of hours for Steve's year end bash. Sharon and I have agreed on a reciprocal deal, where we will alternate with having Andrew and she will take ours so we can get some (good old days) couple time! We will probably take Andrew the following weekend for a few hours.
