What a weekend of sport! The grand Prix was fabulous and the Wimbledon men's final was riveting! We are both Federer fans so are sad he didn't win, but at least he put up a big fight and made it worth while to stay up and watch. The rugby wasn't even really worth a mention with disappointing results for both South Africa and The Sharks. Oh well! Now Tour de France starts, so we have something else to watch for the next couple of weeks.
The weekend was quite chilly, with day temps only reaching about 14 deg. We did go for a walk yesterday afternoon, but apart from that, pretty much stayed inside where it was a bit warmer.
Those teeth of Daniel's that have been threatening for weeks are almost there. The gums are very red and swollen, and we are smelling the acidity at the business end too! Emma has her 8 and seems happy enough with them, as there are no more breaking through at the moment.
They have been on and off. Some days they are little angels and play nicely, and don't winge and moan, and other days they just won't stop moaning! Emma was having a good whiney day today which was driving us crazy. Eventually we decided that these little tantrums are a bit much, so each time she threw herself on the floor, we took her to the sun room and put her on one of the chair cushions on the floor. Each time she lay there for a while, wailing, but very quickly realised it wasn't much fun on her own, so stopped and came back to the lounge and played.
She counted to five today. A couple of the words are still a bit off, but it was clear what she was doing. This morning Daniel was stirring his porridge all over the place, and I was beginning to get a bit annoyed, as although they feed themselves, we still need to hold the bowls otherwise the contents ends up on the floor. So, I asked Dan if he was going to eat his breakfast. He looked at me with big solomn eyes, nodded and said 'Ja!'. How can anyone get cross at that?
Emma droped her lunch bowl a few times today and I kept threatening to take it away from her if she wasn't going to eat. Then she dropped it again, and as soon as she had (and before I could say anything) she put her hands over her face in an 'Oh no' gesture, and started walking away. It was such a grown up gesture, we both found it really funny!
Anyway, hope you all have a good week ahead. No pics this time I am afraid, will post some next time.
