Dare I say it, things are not too bad? We have still been getting up at night, but it appears to only be once (unless we are just starting to block additional disturbances from our memories?).
We have been experiencing lovely JHB winters, with cool nights and gorgeous warm days - sometimes reaching 20 deg which is pretty good! Steve has been making wood fires in our fireplace at night to try and cut back the electricity bill so we don't suffer too badly with the electricity rate hike which is to be implemented from next week. Emma and Daniel are both fascinated with the process of lighting the fire and now know that Daddy needs newspaper, so they drag it all over the place and finally give it to him to scrunch up. After the fire has been lit, they show no interest at all, which is good. See below.
