We need to record the result of the first test between SA and Australia in Perth. What a fantastic match and victory for South Africa. Until late yesterday afternoon, we were out of it and then our guys buttoned down to give us the second best run chase ever in the history of cricket to beat them. Ali Bacher, captain f our last series victory against Australia in 1970, said it was the greatest match hwe has ever seen. And people say Test Cricket is boring!
John and Lesley joined us yesterday after a long flight from London via Doha. Had a nice braai with great hot weather. Emma and Daniel changed their behaviour from attacking each other ever ten minutes to absolute angels which made their arrival even more pleasant for all of us. Caroline also joined us for the braai.
Lesley brought an entire case of new clothes - many from the closing down sale of Woolworths, UK. So today, they are wearing nice new clothes.
Otherwise it is nice hot Sunday - rain is forecast for tomorrow -we need it!
