Well summer has arrived with heat and evenings that are still light when we get home. Tonight we got all the fans out and put the heaters all away.
This evening, whilst Fiona was picking more apricots for jam making, Daniel got stung on his foot by a bee. After the usual howling, Fiona removed the sting and he settled down quite quickly. No ill effects observed - another hurdle crossed.
Had a nice evening walk through the suburbs too.
Had no power for about an hour when we got home tonight. Seems that too much power is now being used by everyone to get cool (two weeks ago it was because everyone had their heaters on) - so it is power shedding all around the city. Kyalami was down at lunch and Rosebank went out during the day too. Seems that there are big schemes underway to address the shortfalls.
Aah but summer is so nice.
