Exhaustion is not so bad in relation to where we are!

The day after our last blog, Daniel went onto antibiotics, yet again for tonsilitis! He made a speedy recovery and within a couple of days was back on his food, and full of nonsense as usual! But it was not without sleepless nights, and boy in our bed, and general misery. Then, no sooner was he almost back to normal (by the long weeeknd), Emma got sick, and moped around the whole weekend. She managed to fight the infection, with loads of sleep, and by the time school started again on Tuesday she was feeling a lot better. This week she seems fine again. I have also been sick, yet again, but one of these days this will all come to an end, and I can go back to being the healthy person I used to be!
Daniel and I have both got terribly dry coughs, although the humidifier in their room seems to have done the trick to sort Daniel out, as he seems to be sleeping better again. Last Friday night he coughed all night and was in our bed from about 11, as he just battled to stay asleep. As we had already given him cough syrup, we couldn't give him more and eventually after we had all been awake for hours, I gave him some panado. That really relaxed him, and finally he fell asleep. Needless to say we all had a pretty rough start to our weekend, hence the title, as I think we were both past exhaustion at that stage.
It got better, although there was a chilly breeze blowing, we were able to sit out side quite a bit and soak up some sun. Daniel is learning how to build really tall lego towers, and at some point when we were building together, he had to stand up to get the top pieces on. He is also pointing our a lot of things, but for the most part is still muttering incoherently, with the very occasional understandable thing. Emma is still mimicking us very well, and last night we went through the contents of her supper bowl, with sosach (sausage), peeez (peas), cor (corn) and ta-toes (and then says 'shoes' as toes live in shoes!) all present!
Here's hoping the week ahead is a little easier on us. Steve has lots of work to get through, so sadly he will be spending a lot of time in the evenings working, but hopefully that will all go smoothly, and he meets his deadlines.
Have a good week. Viva Wimbledon!
