Sorry about the long silence - we have both been sick and the twins are exhausting us by waking up virtually every night. The objective seems to be to get into our bed which we are trying to resist unless they are sick and need comforting. Life is also busy as everyone tries to get everything done by year-end.
Joburg is very hot and with all the recent rain we seem to suddenly have lots of hungry mosquitoes around.
Tomorrow Claire (Fiona's friend) joins us from the UK for a couple of weeks - it'll be nice to see her again as we last saw her at our wedding.
Well, wasn't the Springbok vistory over England one of the best matches of the decade - so far. So nice to watch.
The Indian attacks are quite shocking to us. I've stayed in that area of Mumbai and walked the streets flat shopping for good deals. Not nice to see as the people are generally so nice and friendly. We got lost finding our way back from the Gate of India to our hotel and people were so friendly and helpful. Although I remember having a meal in one restaurant that are in which we were quite clearly not welcome (it was just after 9/11).
We've put in bids for tickets for the Confederations Cup next June. I think that one just has to attend a top-notch match such as Brazil vs Italy just once in your life. We'll be going to Loftus Versveld for that - who would have thought we'd ever see that. And then we're going to watch SA vs Iraq at Ellis Park to get a it of the atmosphere of what the World Cup will be in 2010. I think we're in for an exciting time ahead.
Happy birthday Logan!
